The Festival took place entirely in the city of Xixona, from 21 to 26 July, and was built around three key pillars:

4th José Mª Ortí Soriano International Trumpet Competition

The trumpet competition is structured around six consecutive days of study and trumpet performances, delivered by both the participating trumpet players and the Festival’s distinguished faculty. The event concludes on Friday, 26 July, with a final showcase featuring the winners of the previous edition, during which prizes for this fourth edition will also be awarded.

Prizes include a cash first prize for each of the three categories of the competition. Second and third prizes consist of instrument care kits and other trumpet-related products.

Masterclasses by Professional Trumpet Players

Running alongside the trumpet competition, throughout the six-day event and in parallel with lessons, rehearsals, and student performances, the instrument’s professors — leading figures at both national and international level — provide continuous training in the form of daily masterclasses. These sessions offer ongoing, high-level instruction to all participants of the festival.
